LP2M News - The briefing of Prospective Participants of KKN 2024 UIN Surakarta has been successfully carried out on May 18-19, 2024. Attended by 600 students who were 2 representatives from each group. The briefing was divided into 2 sessions, on the first day it took place at the P2B and SBSN Buildings and on the second day it was held at the Graha UIN Surakarta Building.
Vice Rector for Academic Affairs and Institution Development, Dr. Zainul Abbas, S.Ag., M.Ag. and Head of LP2M, Dr. Muhammad Latif Fauzi, S.H.I., M.S.I, M.A., Ph.D. were also present at the first day of the briefing. In his remarks, the Chairman of LP2M expressed the need for special attention to the Thematic theme of Stunting Prevention so that there are no misunderstandings and Thematic Assistance for the Halal Product Process which will later be carried out additional training to have a Halal Product Companion Certificate (PPH). The Vice Rector also added that this KKN activity is an implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education so that there is great hope for students to undergo this KKN process not only a formality but a long-term provision in community life.
"Life is collaborative, not competitive. Our capabilities in certain fields are combined together into a strength," said Dr. Zainul Abbas, M.Ag.
The first day of the briefing was carried out material related to 3 Thematic namely Religious Moderation, Halal Product Process Assistance and Stunting Prevention.
Mokhamad Zainul Anwar S.H.I., M.S.I as Head of UPT Library UIN Raden Mas Said Surakarta also explained that religious moderation is a way of looking at religious groups without favoring one group. Furthermore, he emphasized how the village builds moderate character.
In a different room, Mrs. Ikhda Khilatil Mardiyah as a health worker conducted mentoring by presenting material related to stunting prevention. He revealed that stunting is vulnerable to babies around the age of 4 months of pregnancy to 5 years after giving birth. The main target of this program is adolescent girls.
Turning to Mr. Faturrahman Husen who explained the material related to Halal Product Process Assistance. Getting as many as 20 PPH certifications is the minimum target in this program. Helping in achieving this target requires a spiritual and social approach to the community, especially MSME actors.
On the second day, the material presentation was delivered by Dr. H. Anas Aijudin, M.Hum. related to the thematic of local wisdom. Community empowerment based on local wisdom and facilitator ethics needs to be prepared before going into the field.
After all the debriefings from various thematic were over, the Chairman of LP2M officially closed the series of debriefing activities for prospective KKN participants
