The Chancellor of Raden Mas Said State Islamic University, Surakarta, Professor Toto Suharto officially released 5 students to take part in the Religious Moderation IV Real Work Lecture (KKN) program throughout Indonesia in Kuningan Regency, West Java in 2024.
This Religious Moderation KKN activity has become an annual routine agenda, as a form of community service for students in the form of collaboration throughout Indonesia. In 2024, the Indonesian Ministry of Religion appointed UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung as the host for the IV Religious Moderation KKN.
At this release event, the Chancellor was accompanied by the Secretary of the Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM) UIN Raden Mas Said Surakarta, Dr. Fathan and Head of the Center for Community Service LPPM UIN Raden Mas Said Surakarta, Khasan Ubaidillah.
In his speech, Professor Toto Suharto said that the Religious Moderation KKN is a collaborative activity between state and private religious universities throughout Indonesia in the field of community service. This program involves student delegations from interfaith PTK throughout Indonesia.
To the Religious Moderation KKN participants, Professor Toto Suharto left a message to continue spreading the message of the values of religious moderation in various places. It is hoped that the experience they will gain during the Religious Moderation KKN in Kuningan Regency together with representatives of other universities will become an inspiration for fellow students at UIN Raden Mas Said Surakarta and even throughout Indonesia.
“Maintain the good name and reputation of our campus, UIN Raden Mas Said Surakarta, which is already superior. "The five of you have a mission to represent UIN Raden Mas Said Surakarta as ambassadors for religious moderation from UIN Raden Mas Said for this KKN, please spread this benefit to KKN locations in Kuningan Regency, West Java," added Prof. Toto.
